Welcome to Legacy!

The sentence formats are predetermined in Legacy, but you can change them to whatever you want in the deluxe version. I wish I could show you a screen shot showing how flexible it is, but this group is not supposed to have graphics.

You can certainly define your own formats so that they do appear the way you want. I have had Legacy for years, and will not go back to any of Legacy's competitors. I can change the "Education" event from the standard format of:
He was educated at MSU in 1992 in Murray, Ky.

To something less generic, such as:
James attended MSU, and in 1992, he graduated from MSU in Murray, Ky.

The latter sounds better to me. This is a Deluxe Edition feature, but I don't think you will be unhappy with the deluxe feature.

Please excuse a lot of questions. I have the free download version and am trying to determine if I wish to switch my data from TMG to Legacy. This time I am asking about the format of the Descendant Narrative. Must it alway have the events listed with the heading of "Noted events in his life were...." or is it possible to get the events in true narrative style? as in

Enos entered the military in 1843 and served until 1850. He purchased a farm in Southern Indiana in 1852. He and Susan Boyd were married in Orange County in 1853.

Just trying to get hold of as much of as I can to make a decision.
