TMG already has this. They have a place to enter a sort date.

TMG does not have this!! Having a place to enter a sort date is not the same as having a blank date! Let's not make it that easy. :-))

If you place an event with an unknown date between other events that have dates, you most likely believe that it occurred between those dates, ergo; the unknown date would be "between event A date and event B date" and can be entered in Legacy that way, resulting in a correct sort every time.
