Tom:
Sounds like a great trick rather than having to determine the correct
long/lat in Virtual Earth (or by guessing) then manually entering
them in the Master Location List "Edit" function. However, when I
right clicked, it just moved the page around just like when I left
click. I think the right button on my mouse is set just like
everyone else's (at least it functions normally in other instances);
but, perhaps it is not. I'll have to play around with it to see.
Thanks for the heads up, though.
Glad my other information could help you.

Cathy, Not sure this specifically applies but I found that if you
hover your pointer over the specific location you want in "road"
view (doesn't work in bird's eye view) and right click, the software
will ask you if you want to move the marker to the right clicked
location, just say yes and it should automatically register. Thanks
for the information on my problem with residences, looks to be just
what I needed! Tom McKeever

Does Legacy require three places for longitude degrees? If so place
a zero before the 85.

I put an incorrect number in my last e-mail. Here's the correct information:
I located a specific address on Virtual Earth (came with Legacy 7.0
Deluxe Edition). When I tried to edit the current general city
location in Legacy from a general Longitude/Latitude for the city to
a specific Longitude/Latitude for the address, Legacy gave me an
error message "The number 338504 is not in the format of ddmmss.xx
latitude coordinate where:
dd=degrees between 00 and 90
mm=minutes between 00 and 59
ss=seconds between 00 and 59
The "center of the city" (which Legacy created) was longitude was
335318 and latitude was 1181829.
Virtual Earth listed the specific address as longitude=33.8504 and
latitude=118.3053.
I tried to enter the numbers without the decimals but got the above
error message. In the longitude, the degrees of 33 seems OK but the
minutes of 85 is larger than the allowed 59 and the seconds of 04 seems OK.
Can anyone explain how this all works?
Thanks.
