Tom, I do not have the knowledge to help solve your mysteries, but if I have any problem with any record, I find it interesting to see the date when the individual was added, marriage added and when modified. Might help to see if the record was imported, or if all problem records were modified or added on the same date and time. Regards, Jane Tripp To see the dates and times on the Family view, right click on the date in the lower right hand corner.

I have the other two mysteries solved. One involved a marrage to an unknown ((that never happened) and the other involved a previous marriage and children assigned to the wrong husband. Don't know how that happened, Tom Herson Ithaca, NY ----- Original Message ----- From: "ronald ferguson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com> Sent: Friday, August 22, 2008 12:28 PM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] Problems with Name Index in Book Tom, Good to see it's getting sorted. It's quite easy to get a ghost marriage eg. if a child is imcorrectly given to a woman, and then unlinked or deleted to correct the error, the "marriage" to an unknown also needs to be deleted. I am not clear about the two you have left. Do you have the maiden names for both and if so are they also included in the index as well as their married names? If so it would appear that you have ghost marriages for these also. Have you checked to see how many husbands they have, both in the marriage list and indicated on the spouse icon in Family View? It may also be worthwhile having a look to see what happens if you turn off the show married names.
