Thanks to all who responded, if I install Legacy on the laptop (basically to take it with me to libraries etc.), then created a Legacy family file backup on the laptop , then copy to the flash drive, then I should be able to copy this backup to Legacy on my desktop. Is this correct? I've not used a flash drive nor a laptop, so I'm a complete novice at this. I just want to be able to transfer all the data I've found back to the desktop, and keep the
