Carol,

I had a similar problem when changing MRIN's. For whatever reason, Legacy
assigned me a husband named "Unknown." I am not married, nor have I ever been
married. I deleted the marriage, which made the MRIN empty. I then set the
MRIN's to reassign the empty numbers with those marriages from the end of the
MRIN list. After this happened, whenever I would click on my name in family
view to put myself in the primary position, Legacy would put the husband and
wife that were reassigned my old MRIN in the primary position. However, I did a
check/repair, and this cleared the problem.
I see that you have done that already, so I'm not sure what you should do now.

One thing I do is keep the RIN as assigned, but I use the "USER ID" field on
the individual information screen to do my own numbering system. I prefer to
put myself as #1, my father as #2, my mother as #3, my paternal grandfather as
#4, etc. This is called the "ahnentafel system."
