Vicki, Rather depends on what you define as extraneous. I suggest th you leave well alone everything other than the .fdb and .zip files. You need to keep the .fdb which is your current data file and the last .zip. However, I would strongly recommend that you keep at least the last two .zips. Only yesterday a had a problem with family links in my .fdb file. I also found I had the same problem when I restored that last made .zip but was not there in the previous. How it happened I don't know and I had no need to find out.
