Hello again. I'm still having trouble with Error 3163, but have since
discovered a few things that narrow it down.

In the beginning, I would attempt to export my file to a GEDCOM 5.5 file, as I
usually do once a month. While exporting individuals, I would get this message:

Error 3163: The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted
to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.
Would you like to TRY IT AGAIN?

If I click "yes", the message repeats forever. If I click "quit", the program
closes, as I would expect. If I click "no", the message may repeat once again
further along in the process, but the export finishes up like normal.

I ran a "File check/repair", and nothing changed. I maintain 4 separate family
files, working on 1 for about a week before updating the current file online at
Rootsweb. Then I switch to another file for a week. The only reason this is
relevant to the situation is this: about 3 weeks ago, I got a message when I
opened a file that it was in an older format, and needed to be updated to the
newer format in order to be usable. I have kept up with Legacy 7 updates right
along. Up to now, I have "updated" 2 family files, and these are the 2 with
which I'm having trouble.

I have sent a "bug" report to Legacy, although I don't know that this is
actually a bug. The only thing different is the updating of the files to the
newer format. Connected?
