MKO, If you are adamant about not using the To Do list, I found what I thought was an unusual alternative in Legacy ver 6 Deluxe, I looked at the address icon (home) in Family View. If you choose to use this area for your fellow researchers, you can record the name(s) of a researcher, mailing address, email address(es), webpage, etc. You can send an email or connect to the webpage from this screen. This allows you only one field for name contact for each individual, but I did put 2 email addresses in the email field and it worked fine. Please access & read the help associated with this address feature. To view those individuals in your database who have others researching the same, use the Index View. In the Index View, Options, you can customize columns to show a colum of the name of researcher and email address or whatever (including an event named researcher, if you choose to go that route). These customizations can be saved and loaded so that whenever you want to, you can see your entire database with those individuals who have a researcher attached and their email address and whatever you have chosen to be included in the colums. Clicking on that individual takes you back to the Family View to access the address icon where you can email, look at the webpage, read the notes you typed or whatever with just one click. I have just a few fellow researchers, so I am not using this as a way to keep track of them. If you don't want to muck up your family file, you can record all this in a copy of your family file named "Tripp Family with Contacts" or whatever. (I am currently using my customized Index View to compare all the obits I have in my paper file to those in the database with an obit - I needed to add quite a few.) If you choose to look at this option, please play around in a copy of your file or some play file. It might indicate that Great-Grandpa Montgomery, born in 1867, has an email address where you don't want it. Regards, Jane Tripp

I was hoping legacy had something similar but can not find it. Simply someone that I can record the people and their contact details etc so that I can remember every now and then to get in touch with them to see if they have any new info. I don't want to use sourcing or the to do list for this, as I simply want to lookup a list to see which people I currently contact. I hope this makes sense to someone. Does legacy have anything similar?
