Ron,

Yes I have always backed up to a flash drive. I will try backing up to the
hard drive. I bought this Dell this past August and didn't use the Acer
anymore until I started having this error 91. Then I would take the flash
drive and restore on the Acer to see if it was a good back up. As far as I
can tell it looks ok on the Acer. I believe that I tried to back up on the
same flash drive from the Acer and did not get error 91. I am not sure about
that. I am getting very confused about what I have tried.

As I understand the error 91 instructions it doesn't seem to mention Vista.
I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling or the export file per
instruction #3.

I found the Acer is a 32 bit machine. Some of the flash drives have just one
file, some have about ten. All are Legacy backups that I have done yesterday
and today.

I will try the uninstall - reinstall or the export now.

Thank you for your patience and suggestions, I am quite upset about this and
it is good to know someone is trying to help me. I have used Legacy since v.
2. On a lighter note even before Sherry was working for Millennia. We had
corresponded on the users group. I guess here is where I put Grin. I am
actually wringing my hands over this as this is years of work that I am now
too old to do over.

Best regards,
Ann

Ann,

Are you always backing up to a flash drive? What happens if you back up
normally ie. to the hard drive on your PC? It is, btw, usually easier to
concentrate on just one computer as having two can just make things even
more confusing!

Since you are on Vista it seems ulikely that the problem is due to the jet
engine. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Legacy? The fact that
you have the problem on 2 PCs doesn't imspire confidence that this will work
though.

I'm afraid that I do not have a 64bit machine to test on. Just had a
thought - how many files have you on the flash drive?

Ron Ferguson
