The programming language which the programmers use does not support UTF-8 -
Uncode fonts.  They need to rebuild Legacy in another programming language
which does.

They have started this process but it's a major learning curve for them -
kinda like being multi-lingual.  It's something that's going to take a lot
of time.

Some of the characters are also found as Western European characters.

Why ever do they not use utf-8 coding - Unicode?  Or more precisely, why
allow SOME of these characters in Notes but nowhere else?
