Dennis has identified your problem:


If you have a picture (JPG, TIF, PNG, etc...) use the "picture" icon to
attach.
If you have a file (.DOC, .PDF, .TXT, etc...) use the "file" icon to attach
If you have a sound (.WAV, .MDI, etc...) use the "sound" icon to attach
If you have a video (.MPG, .M4V, .WMV, etc...) use the "video" icon to
attach

If you attach a "Video" as a "File"; it's given the wrong attributes to pass
to the "File" program to open -- HENCE it will not open.  It's like trying
to open a CD of music with Microsoft Word; it won't work.

Just for clarification...

Did you attach them as Picture, Sound, Video, or Document (I think the
latter was introduced in V7)?
