Ruth,
 
When you say that you did as Valerie suggested, do you mean that you 
uninstalled and reinstalled from the web? If so it may be that you will have to 
do it again, but this time delete everything from the Legacy folder except your 
Data folder.
 
Sorry, it means all your settings will go, but I cannot see another way round 
this. Ideas anyone??
