Thunderbird (3.0), has the ability, when you send a *reply* message, to file that reply in the folder containing the message that you're replying to. This is instead of putting it in a Sent folder. When the mailing list receives your message, it sends a copy of it to everyone who is subscribed to the mailing list - you see a second copy because you are subscribed. With Thunderbird, this only seems to affect replies: not any messages that begin a new thread. I imagine that something similar might be happening with Gmail. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
