Sherry, I actually use a 16gb USB drive for my master genealogy files. Most of the time it stays in my desktop and is synced to my hard drive and backed up by Mozy. When i move it to the Netbook I have everything (sneaker net). The drive letter is X on both machines so my legacy media stays attached.
I am too cheap to buy drop box pro and 2gb is not nearly enough. I have several hundred census .jpg's multiple family books on pdf., family pictures, even a copy of "The Researcher's Guide to American Genealogy". Every time I add a source/event etc. and It is possible to attach a picture or scan of the original I do it. I don't remember how large my Legacy media back up is now but it takes awhile to create.
