The county verifier seems to use the dates given by Animap for counties
in Kentucky. Animap shows several counties for Kentucky in existence
before statehood in 1792. It starts with the creation of Kentucky County
VA in 1780 and records the division of that county into several others
in the years between 1780 and 1792.
