Ron, The original poster was using a custom event sentence. When defining your own event sentences you do need to include the [sources] field to tell Legacy where to include the source citations in the sentence. If you do not use the [sources] then no sources will be cited in the sentence.
All the Legacy defined events already have the [sources] field in the sentence definition so for those events you only have to set the source options in the report setup.
