RM allows all events, including custom, up to 8 data lines in a box.
TMG - which uses the same underlying charting software as TMG, though
with more editing options - allows all events up to 9 data lines.
Both have free trial versions if you want to GEDCOM your data over to
make a chart.  TMG has a forum dedicated to charts (the Visual
ChartForm forum) with many examples.

Maybe Legacy v8 charting will have more flexibility in the allowable
data; the preview of Legacy v8 indicated that there will be some new
features in the charting module.  There is an option once you are in
Legacy Charting to add a few more details about basic  (birth,
marriage, death)  events (not custom events), but I could not get it
to work.
