Another reason not to put your media in the Legacy program folder.  I would 
think if your media was placed in My Documents under Legacy, the uninstall 
would leave it alone.

Backup often or get a separate hard drive for your data.  I never depend on one 
hard drive because sometimes they fail.

I finally uninstalled Legacy 7.5 last night using the "unwise" method with no 
problems.  I didn't check any of the Windows files and only selected to delete 
files associated with Legacy.

I had to do all above myself to finally delete L7.5. Unfortunately though, all 
my very precious media was deleted....permanently...how I am not sure? All I 
remember is being frustrated that 7.5 was not being deleted properly at first, 
and then later, finally agreeing to a "delete", bypassing the recycle bin. 
Still trying to work out how and why :-(
