It's there in Legacy 7.5 and is the biggest
button on the dialogue is Unlink ALL media files.

Options > Customise - Locations tab - Test all Media Folders.

You may never have gone there. Once you're
organised in Legacy 8 you probably won't go to the Media Relinker either.

There are occasions when you'd want to remove all links. Two I can think of.

1) If you'd attached some files and then realised
you needed to be more organised in naming files -
the quickest way would be to remove the links and start again.

2) If you got a file from someone else that had
media links but you didn't have the media - you'd
want to get rid of all the links.

There are occasions when you'd want to remove unlinked media.
I'm encountering it at the moment as I was very
enthusiastic when I first attached media to
Legacy and was using it to sort my photos as
well. Now I use other methods for that and want
to cut the number of pics attached in Legacy. I'd
also attached a small copy of the original scan
as well as cropped copies and digitally enhanced
copies. Not necessary in those attached.
