I remember a response from Millennia that they intend to implement search & replace withing a tagged subset. That will be a future release. Hope it might be in version 8 as an update and not pushed off to version 9 or later. Meanwhile, the process I explained is the only way using Legacy. It could be done with a SQL script but that's another story.

Albeit the new file is a subset of the old, I don't think working with a new file is what one *generally* thinks of when referring to a subset. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
