Yes, I did mean Last Name Unknown. Thanks, Cathy. I now understand the
principle. The marriages are all straightened and the kids with their rightful
moms and dads.

Hi Barton,

You have to keep unlinking incorrect relationships and then relink. The easiest
way to get the parents - child link correct is to start with the parents and
add the child (choosing of course the option to link to existing person as
they're already in the database).
LNU? I think you mean Last Name Unknown. I get over this by using the
husband's surname in privacy brackets so that it never prints but shows on
screen. Then I don't have a host of Elizabeth's in a list and have no idea
where they fit.

Thanks. But, when I right clicked on John and unlinked to Elizabeth
LNU, it removed their daughter Sarah as a child of John but left her
as a daughter of Elizabeth LNU.

John and Elizabeth's son John is correctly listed as their child. But
Sarah is now the daughte r of Elizabeth LNU and unknown. How do I make
Sarah the daughter of Elizabeth and John?

Thanks,

Barton

    Hi Barton,

You unlink the duplicate (and any other incorrect relationships).
Right click on someone in main position in Family View and you'll
find Unlink ... in the Menu. Choose the relationship you want to
    get rid of.
