My post was simply that some Legacy users and potential Legacy users will use Legacy tagginh in a more permanent way. These users will wish for more tags in a future Legacy update and settings beyond on and off. A direct import improves the transfer of data from the old program to the new. For example a Gedcom import to Legacy does not import sharers. A Legacy direct import might import TMG witnesses (sharers) into Legacy sharers. That's something that both programs have, so Legacy's programmers might or might not do this. Legacy does not have "accent colors", so a direct import wouldn't include those.
