Barton, When you go to Open File and you select the option to let Legacy search for your files, that is the file search page I am talking about. At the bottom there is a button to tell Legacy which drives to search. This might have gotten changed to something other than the C: drive (assuming that is where your files are).
Also, you said, “I want to be able to easily switch back and forth between gedcoms.” Gedcoms have to be converted to Legacy data files before you can open them and switch back and forth between them.
