You may have been correct that with very early versions of 7.0 there was a multi-source clipboard but by the time Legacy was updated to 7.4 and 7.5 the clipboard only held one source. The multiple source clipboard has been re-introduced in Legacy 8.0 as an option and the help for the source clipboard explicitly says that all sources on the clipboard are assigned (that information was present in the Help for Legacy 6 and earlier but was not as clearly specified as it is now).
