Denise, I also wondered what Sue meant. In Legacy there are two different ways now to use the same event for different people.
1) You can use the Event Clipboard and paste the event to other people. Then you can edit it for that person. If you edit the original after you've copied it to the Event Clipboard, it's the edited version that is pasted as what is copied are the database links. In Legacy 8 you can Share the event with other people. Each of the other people is assigned a role. eg share a baptism with the godparents, a wedding with the bridal party and formal witnesses, a census with other household members. There are Event Sentence definitions that can be edited for the main person (like non-shared events) and a set of event sentence definitions that can be edited for each role. If you don't like the default sentences, learning to define them for yourself is not hard. Neither method requires "hair-tearing".
