I also should make one other quick addendum to my original message. The " "
should also be used to indicate how an individual was addressed even though
it might not be a nickname. In my example below this person may not have
been called "Charlie" but the more formal Charles. Thus the entry would be
Charles Blue "Charles". If his wife was Sarah Rose and answered to Rose then
it would be Sarah Rose "Rose". If it was Frances Hughes and was called Frank
then it would be entered as Frances Hughes "Frank"......this last example is
one of my great grandmothers, deep South you know - - it's a wonder they
didn't call her Bubba. I have another ancestor family where the youngest
(male) was called "Baby", a name he carried to his grave (as a very senior
citizen).
