I am another one who installed v.5 without
uninstalling v.4. I also installed to a new location,
as I wanted to keep the versions seperate.
Now for the problem: I have all the regular people in
the file, as far as I can tell, but now the same
people are added twice and all the duplicates have rin
numbers of 8 0r 9 digits, and are not linked to other
relatiaves. My original family tree only had 4
digits in rin numbers. I am afraid to just uninstall
v. 4. but I can't deal with my database with all the
duplicates with new rin's. Can I just uninstall v.4
and then reinstall v.5 and expect my database of files
to just magically appear as they were previous to my
update? Baby steps, please! I know that everyone
thinks that Legacy is such a simple program, but I am
fearful of losing my data that I have worked so hard
to get. So I approach each step very cautiously.
Please help!
