Recently I saw virtually an entire day's worth of Mail List entries devoted to the
single subject of shut-downs and memory deficiencies. My own situation is
similar to several of those listed: I'm using W98SE; 128 memory; Legacy
Deluxe V.5, 5/11 build. I've never had a memory problem with Legacy running
alone, although it does sometimes occur when I get overly ambitious and have too
many programs open at once...(the reward of multitasking can also be its
risk! The upgrade to a new computer with XP and 512 memory are on my
"personal to-do list.")

However, I have recently begun to incur another annoying problem...perhaps
related, perhaps not. And it does NOT seem to have any ill affect on
subsequent use of Legacy or any other program. But because it's new, I
thought I'd run it by the group (listening, Support?)

When closing down Legacy, I have begun to get an error box that says,

        Legacy

This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down. (followed by a "Close" box)

        If the problem persists, contact
the program administrator. (followed by a "Details" box)

A long-time computer user, but by no means a "techie", my skill level stops
far short of understanding the information provided by clicking the
"Details" box. It reads,

LEGACY caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff7b992.

Is there some way someone can explain this to me...in words a 70-year-old
replete with frequent "senior moments" can comprehend? (Or, if that's
asking too much, perhaps just provide some "fix" that will eliminate the
error message upon closing Legacy in the future.)

To repeat, this anomaly does NOT seem to have any ill affect on subsequent
use of Legacy or any other program.  However, it's annoying at best;
worrisome at worst...so I'd sure like to get rid of it.

(By the way, I have heard a suggestion that I try turning off the "Script Blocking" in my
Norton AntiVirus program...I did, but it didn't correct the problem.)

Thanks in advance for your help. I'd welcome replies either through the
list or directly to the e-mail address that follows.
