I'm not saying this is going to work in every instance, but there is always 
the possibility that after you have deleted and added a few people, you 
might have to re-establish the 'set relationships' line again.  One day I 
found that after an import and a few deleted people that didn't belong, 
none of the relationships with my cousins was being displayed.  I had to 
'set relationships' again and all appeared fine.

I find that running the top three of the file maintenance tasks clears up a 
lot of problems as well.  I run them and close the program down to allow 
the files to write to disk, then restart the program again.
