I'm not sure to what degree the two couples are "mixed up." Would it be
easier to unlink the couples and then link them in the right way? Then
you could delete the inappropriate events and notes.

If ALL of the events/notes are correctly applicable to one person (but
not the one they're attached to), could you just change the name to the
right one?
