Oh, my! More scary stuff happening! It seems like clicking anywhere on a Legacy screen is like walking through a minefield -- it takes a whole lot of luck to stay safe.
Whatever the size of these "hot spots", they should be clearly indicated in some manner so that users KNOW that they are hot spots. Anything that LOOKS like it is inert background should ACT like the inert background and do nothing. They are set up to repeat the information last entered in such a field if you click to the left of the field - this hot spot actually extends to the very left hand edge of the screen - I've often repeated information by accident when I've been clicking on the sourcing buttons to the left of these fields and have missed and have instead clicked to the left of the sourcing buttons. I've always found this rather strange.
