No need to uninstall previous versions - the bloody V7 install does it
without asking, if you use their install program.  Talk about your
ill-behaved installations.

When I first downloaded Adobe Reader  v6, it would not work...period.  I had
not, at that point, uninstalled the  earlier versions.  It was then that I
found in Adobe's FAQs the  "recommendation" to uninstall all earlier
versions of
Reader before installing  v6.  Once I did that, I have never had a problem.
(If memory serves  me correctly...grin...you'll find similar comments from
me
on this subject in  the archives.)  It was because of that experience that I
suggested  uninstalling all earlier versions before installing v7.  On the
other
hand,  is there a compatibility issue between Adobe Reader v7 and earlier
versions?
