You can save data to USB drives; I do. I have not tried saving Legacy files
to a USB drive.

Legacy, by default, installs some files in the Windows systems folders.

I haven't tried it myself, and I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but
I don't think you can run the program off a USB drive unless it's been
installed on the host machine at some point.
