Jan,
A suggestion for CD back-ups -- consider using CD-R
instead of CD-RW. CD-R disks are more reliable for
long-term storage, and they are more likely to avoid
the problems that some CD-RW's have when read back in
a different machine than the one they were written
with. CD-R's are so inexpensive, and about 1/4 the
cost of CD-RW, it's hardly worth the time and risk
just to re-write on a used disk.

Another advantage is, you'll be able to save the
previous backup CD-R's, so if bad stuff gets into your
back-up data, you'll be able to go back to the second,
third.. previous backup and find the last good data.

The family.zip file contains the .FDB, .FG, and .TC
files in compressed form, in other words it's the same
thing. I would just burn all of them on a CD --
unless your databases are HUGE, everything should fit
on one CD. Note that pictures (& other multimedia
files) aren't saved in the family.zip file. You
probably want to back-up your photo directories, too.
