Hi Marie,

Most likely you have the CD formatted to act like a hard drive (you drag
files to the CD and they are written like a hard drive).  In this way it can
be written to via the OS.  However, if you don't format the CD first, Legacy
can't natively write to the disk.

This is a feature of many of the newer CD/DVD burners.  However, if you have
a much older burner, this feature isn't available.

I hope this explains why it worked for you and that Sherry said that Legacy
doesn't support burning directly to CD, which it doesn't.
