Hi Patti,

You'll find much discussion in the archives.

You need to go to the marriage screen for Nancy and choose Status unmarried.
Then you can choose the wording you want and it will be picked up in reports.
Don't be misled by all the possible statuses you could choose. Only 'unmarried' picks up the alternate wording.


On some reports it will still not read well but better.

I understand why those who designed the program would do it that way because for a lot of us that would be the most obvious. Is there some way to change that to reflect the unmarried state. I've looked in the report options, but don't see anything for that.
