The version of Windows may be one source of variations in report fonts. One of the Legacy book reports (in version 3 and early version 4) used to keep the font size of the Title Page for the whole report saved as RTF on a Windows ME or XP computer. A computer with Win2000 or Win98 didn't show the problem.

What I had failed to do was to actually test this by creating the reports
using a fixed pitch font for Notes. Even though Courier is specified as the
font for Notes in the report options, that is ignored and Legacy creates
reports using, in my case, Times New Roman for the Notes, which naturally
destroys the formatting of the Courier used for the Notes on the data-entry
screen.
