Ok, let's try another angle. I *assume* we are talking about Descendant Book. Under the Options tab, there are three "biggish" buttons about 2/3rds the way down. Under Index Options, at the Name Index tab, there is a check box with the caption "Birth & Death Years on Names." Do you have that checked?

I just previewed a Descendant Book report where I had ticked the box in Index Options "Birth and Death Years on Names". Only some names in the report index had these dates included.
