Updatinig changes to multiple instances of events (as well as source citations and many other things) can be done easily quickly with the powerful Search and Replace utility in Legacy.

The nearest you can get with Events (as distinct from Addresses, which are accessible everywhere) is to copy and paste them using the icons below the buttons to the right of the Edit Event dialogue. This is not too bad if the events don't change, but is a pain if you need to edit an event used in multiple places. You then have to copy it again and remember everywhere that it is used.
As noted, above this need has been drawn to the attention of the Legacy developers before. Maybe in V6?
Cheers, Rob
