Legacy 5 book report is limited to descendants or ancestors of one individual. Multiple lines report requires marriage numbers. Book reports saved as PDF are limited to one size of pictures. My problem is with a combination of small individual pictures and groups/sources that *need* to be printed at least six inches wide in an automatic report from a genealogy database.
Issues with same-sex partners, single parents and complex blended families are not easily managed with traditional genealogy reports. Partners and blended families are a major problem if data is transferred by GEDCOM to programs that use different fields for the same details.
I have one historical file for early residents in Western Canada. Men often married a sister or daughter of a business associate. Another file has family groups of classmates including a few marriages of pairs of classmates.

Would you start a new database or include them all in your family database, but not link them with anyone. I have kept it simple with my family and I have no other databases; however I would like to keep track (thru Legacy) of friends and other people I know. Just curious.
