I always have trouble with this. It ALWAYS closes up the 'age' column
until there is no space between the two vertical lines. The only way I
can get them open - my hand is not steady enough to use the mouse - is
by moving that column to somewhere else and then putting it back where I
want it. It only ever is the 'age' column that closes up. I am using
WIN98. Generally it doesn't stick from session to session. I have just
now put the age column first and see if that will make any difference.

While in Index View,options, all column widths can be
adjusted. While working in that session, these changes will
hold. However, closing Legacy and then reopening Legacy, and
then going to index view, the column widths will have
reverted to previous size.
