If the important details are entered directly in a sentence, wouldn't they
be lost in a "standard" GEDCOM transfer? Legacy allows listed events which I
prefer to repetitive sentences.
Occupations are interesting details that I like to include in wall charts
printed after a GEDCOM transfer. What method would be used to show them in
Legacy TreeDraw charts?

Why would you use sentence override for this? Override only affects the
specific instance of the event for which you use override. If you are
going to override I don't see the point in using the variable fields - why
not just type the sentence exactly as you want it for that instance?
Wouldn't it make more sense to edit the event the sentence definition to
read as described below - then it would 'work' for all instances of the
event, depending on the variables.
