It appears that there is no option to change these words for the Descendant
Narrative Report. The Descendant Report(book) allows the wording to be
changed for all children where the marriage status is "unmarried". The
wording options are on a separate tab when you select the report.
For the Descendant Report I just have "The children were" or "The child was"
So I get the output
Mary had a child.
The child was:

Not exact, but this also copes with a known child of a male with no spouse.

So why aren't these wording changes allowed for the Narrative Reports?

Jack

Subject: [LegacyUG] Unmarried mother

Hi Group, I hope some might be able to help with the wording for an
unmarried mother, in recent times.

Mary Smith had a daughter. Father not known. I have marked Mary as
unmarried, but when I print out a Book Report - Descendant Narrative it
reads

Mary had a child. They had one daughter Ann

Can I get it to read She had a daughter

Many thanks
Susan
