Flo - if you can't wait for the update to split out a family, I would suggest exporting your complete data base to a new file and then use Advance Tagging and Deleting to get rid of those unwanted individuals and families. I don't think any other method will get you around the problem. Thanks for the words on the disaster from "someone on the ground" and someone without their own agenda to "spin".
