Jon, This situation doesn't come up much, but it has a solution.
A user who wants both Legacy 5 AND Legacy 6 installed should not uninstall Legacy 5. He should download the Legacy6Setup.exe setup program. Either the 'Install from the Web' or the 'Full Setup' can be used. Next he/she must the Legacy6Setup.exe to the hard drive and then rename it to LegacyNew.exe. When run, the setup program will check to see if it has the name of LegacyNew.exe and if it does it will consider the setup to be a new installation. The user will be prompted for all of the settings a new user would see when they installed the first time. When prompted for the 'install location' the user should specify something other than the default C:\Legacy. If you leave the default as is and don't change it, Legacy 5 (or whatever version is there) will be overwritten. Did anyone else notice the recommendation to uninstall earlier versions before installing v6? This statement is found on Legacy's web site: "Please uninstall any older versions of Legacy before installing Legacy 6.0. If an earlier version is present and you don't uninstall it first, it may remain in the system registry. If you remove an earlier version of Legacy after installing Legacy 6.0, Legacy 6.0 may not work and you will need to reinstall it to fix the problem." Does this apply to all earlier versions, including v5.xx? Perhaps tech support can elaborate? What if a user wants to keep v5 installed as a backup to v6?
