I fought with this for 2 hours yesterday. What finally worked for me (so far,
at least) was:

1. In Options/Customize/Fonts/Screen Fonts I set "Minimum" to 9, "Maximum" to
12 and checked "Stretch fonts when resizing". [As a note I am using Ariel
Regular on a 17 in. monitor, set at 1024x768, small fonts.]

2. In Options/Customize/General/Program Startup I have checked "Maximize Main
window at startup".

So far, so good, Don
