My choice would definitely be a mailing list.  I belong to about 15 different
mailing lists.  I can receive posts from all lists at once and filter them as
desired.  It would be a total waste of valuable time if I had to physically log
into 15 different forums to view any new information.  Don't forget, you cannot
subscribe to a topic that you don't know exists.  By the way I also subscribe to
about 10 forums/message boards.  I will take a mailing list over a forum any
day.  Just MY opinion.
