ditto..... i got a gig -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Donna Alden-Bugden, RN, MN Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 12:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [LegacyUG] Memory Hog??
I'm not sure if it is just me, but Legacy is quite a memory hog (and I'm not meaning that to be rude...just what I have experienced on my computer). I feel it takes a LOT of memory to run the program and this may be a limiting factor in people buying the program. When I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, I notice that just sitting there doing nothing it takes a whopping 40 MB...but if I run a potential problem report, it takes 65 MB of my memory...and then in crashes. I have 752 MB of memory and very little running in the background...but I had this same probem with v5. I can do most everything but run potential problems reports....and I still can't run those reports. After climbing to 65 MB the program freezes and then I get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). I have even tried running Legacy when Windows XP is in "safe mode" but it won't let me run potential problems reports when there is no printer installed (safe mode does not load printer drivers).
