Jennifer, It is my understanding that the gedcom spec does not directly support a description for the four principle events and marriages. Several programs have added one anyway and the only problem I can see that it creates is how it shows up if you export a gedcom to another program that does not support it. You may lose it. And, to me, that's no small consideration. Legacy is my third genealogy program that I thought met all my needs. I hope there is not a number four but who knows.
